WORKING TO BRING YOU A BALANCED MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT!
I specialize in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Addictions in teens and adults. Treatment begins with evaluation and diagnosis. Individualized recommendations may include medication management and cognitive therapy. I believe in a 12-Step Philosophy for Addiction treatment. My experience enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care and a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
I utilize an integrated Body-Mind-Spirit approach to treatment of mental illness. My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening with care, and customizing a treatment plan. Together we can achieve excellent mental health!
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey to improved mental health. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Together, we can achieve this by the use of a Body-Mind-Spirit approach.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Depression leads to anxiety and anxiety leads to depression. Understanding their relationship will help you recover. Through counseling and treatment, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. Together we can achieve improved mental health for you and your family.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, depression, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Sometimes thoughts take on a life of their own. Obsessive thoughts are often intrusive, automatic, anxiety-provoking images or ideas that are often connected with compulsive mental or behavioral rituals. Symptoms cause extraordinary distress and may lead to depression. Medication and therapy are often helpful.
Extremes of emotions which cycle between depression, irritability, and extraordinary energy and thinking may be an indication of a Bipolar Disorder. Medications are usually necessary for stabilization. Through education, counseling, and medication management, I am able to help you stabilize your moods and disruptive patterns in your life.
Addiction disorders are pervasive in our society and can cause chaos within a family. Understanding the nature of the addiction, genetic links, and the need for sobriety is essential to treatment. I provide firm boundaries and direction for living sober and treating co-morbid mental illness. Excellent mental health is achieved by overcoming addictions!
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship and the mental health of both partners.
